Representatives of accommodation facilities said they will provide significant discounts to individuals who use high-end services in the last months of the year, which are peak travel months.
According to the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT), with new groundbreaking visa and immigration policies and positive trends following the Covid-19 pandemic, the domestic tourism sector expects to welcome more international tourists in the coming years, particularly during the peak season, which runs from September to March.
In preparation for peak season, most accommodation facilities are working to improve service and personnel quality, as well as increasing promotional efforts.
Apart from hotels rated two to four stars in the north, numerous five-star hotels in Hanoi, including the InterContinental Hanoi Landmark 72, Grand Vista Hanoi, and Hôtel du Parc Hanoi, have entered the contest, offering discounts of up to 66%.
On this occasion, visitors to Premier Village Halong Bay, a five-star hotel in Quang Ninh province, home to the UNESCO-recognized Ha Long Bay, will also receive up to 55% off.

Others in the central region are following suit, including Premier Village Danang Resort in Da Nang and Premier Residences Phu Quoc Emerald Bay.
A number of online tourism booking platforms, including Agoda, Booking.com, and Expedia, have also launched a variety of incentive programs for travelers booking for five-star hotels since September.
Experts indicated that, in addition to lowering accommodation rates, hotels should improve their service quality in order to attract tourists in a sustainable manner. Meanwhile, some opulent hotels have stated that they will increase their investments in digital transformation and human quality, while seeking clients through online booking platforms.
Because domestic tours are more expensive than outbound tours due to rising airfares, the Vietnam Airlines Group, which includes Vietnam Airlines, Pacific Airlines, and VASCO, announced that it will provide nearly 400,000 seats on domestic flights from August 31 to September 5, in order to meet increased demand during the National Day (September 2) holiday.
Domestic flights between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, as well as Da Nang, Nha Trang, and Phu Quoc, are in high demand, according to Vietnam Airlines, which promises to change flights to remain flexible and meet travel demand over the National Day vacation.

The result represents a 15% rise over the same period in 2019, prior to the Covid-19 epidemic.
Vietnam Airlines Group recently informed the media that it will offer more than 155,000 seats on foreign flights, more than doubling the number of seats available during the same period last year.
Passengers were encouraged to buy tickets through their official website, mobile app, or authorized ticket offices and agents. They also advised travellers to request invoices in order to prevent purchasing fraudulent or overpriced tickets.
Airlines also urged travelers to avoid crowded airports by using multiple check-in methods, such as online check-in via the website or mobile app, self-service kiosks, and automatic or telephone check-in.
