On the afternoon of August 24th, the Danang Tourism Golf Festival 2023 and the BRG Open Golf Championship Danang were inaugurated at APEC Park. Following the success of 2022, these two events promise to bring a lively and exciting atmosphere to golfers and the public.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Binh, Deputy Director of the City Tourism Department and Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the Danang Tourism Golf Festival 2023, stated that with the theme "Swing Emotions," the official festival takes place from August 24th to September 2nd at APEC Park, Danang Golf Resort, and the Sheraton Grand Danang Resort & Convention Center.
The festival's kickoff features a golf tourism product exhibition. Here, golf fashion, golf clubs, golf balls, club bags, and various golf accessories are displayed and sold. Visitors to the exhibition can explore the specialized world of golf fashion, try out different types of golf clubs, and shop for suitable golf products.
The Danang Tourism Golf Festival 2023 is considered a celebration for golf enthusiasts, providing an opportunity to bring golf closer to the public through various sideline activities such as checking in with a giant golf ball, experiencing mini artificial golf course practice with attractive prizes, golf fashion shows, nightly art programs, and checking in at the festival to receive free tickets to watch the golf tournament live. It is expected that 4,500 tickets will be distributed over the three days of competition from August 31st to September 2nd for fans to witness performances by international professional golfers.

Additionally, the "Golf Path" is one of the highlights that locals and tourists cannot miss, featuring a portrayal of the history of golf, golf swing postures, and legendary figures in the world of golf.
From August 29th to 30th, 2023, the AGIF Danang Workshop on golf tourism and sustainable strategies will take place, discussing various topics in the golf industry such as sustainable golf course design, maintenance and operation, the role of women in golf, solutions for the future development of the golf industry, and more.
Especially, the focal point of the Danang Tourism Golf Festival 2023 is the BRG Open Golf Championship Danang 2023, attracting 144 professional golfers, including 120 international golfers from Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, South Korea, Japan, Australia, Sweden, India, China, and more, along with 24 Vietnamese golfers. Among them, four golfers leading the ADT 2023 prize money rankings have registered to participate: Harrison Gilbert-Wong (Australia), Oscar Zetterwall (Sweden), Naoki Sekito (Japan), Chanat Sakulpolphaisan (Thailand).
Guiding citizens to experience playing golf
The BRG Open Golf Championship Danang 2023 is part of the Asian Development Tour (ADT) system of the Asian Tour and will take place from August 31st to September 2nd at the Danang Golf Resort. This golf course has been chosen by Golf Digest magazine as one of the "Top 100 Best Golf Courses in the World for 2022." The tournament will be live-streamed on the golfnews fanpage/youtube and the Danang fantasticity fanpage of Danang Tourism. The total prize money for the tournament is up to $100,000 USD, a $25,000 USD increase from 2022. This contributes to the appeal and high level of competition of this year's tournament.
On this occasion, the city of Danang welcomes the Chairman of the World Golf Tourism Organization, the Chairman of the Indian Golf Association, and representatives from major golf travel agencies from Japan, Australia, India, the Philippines, and China to survey golf tourism products, golf tourism services, experience Danang's services and destinations, participate in activities of the Danang Tourism Golf Festival and the BRG Open Golf Championship Danang 2023, connect and collaborate with golf courses and travel companies in Danang to enhance promotional efforts and attract golf enthusiasts to Danang.
"With the aim of bringing the sport of golf closer to the people and tourists, through the Danang Tourism Golf Festival 2023 and the highlight being the BRG Open Golf Championship Danang 2023, the city of Danang hopes to elevate Danang's golf tourism to an international level, contributing to the development of golf tourism, and affirming the city's direction in diversifying festival and event activities, making it a leading event and festival destination in Asia," emphasized Mr. Nguyen Xuan Binh, Deputy Director of the City Tourism Department.
After the opening ceremony, a large number of residents and tourists visited the exhibition and experienced golfing activities.
